While you can't
predict when an emergency will occur, you can be prepared. In less time
than you think, American Red Cross training can give you the vital
knowledge and skills you'll need to respond to a life-threatening
situation with confidence.
Red Cross training will teach you to:
- Care for conscious and unconscious choking victims
- Perform CPR
- Give first aid
- Treat sudden illnesses
- Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a victim of a sudden cardiac arrest
Due to the high demand for many of our Health and Safety Classes,
Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment are REQUIRED.
Refund Policy
We have a NO REFUND POLICY, so make sure you are signing up for the right class. If for some reason you cannot attend your
scheduled class, we do allow you one transfer at no additional charge, provided you call us at 443-4521 at least 48 hours in advance of the class for which you are scheduled. If you don't give us this notice and want to reschedule, you will be charged a $10 rescheduling fee.
Class Descriptions and Prerequisities
Community CPR (also called Adult, Child, Infant CPR) and Standard First Aid (8.5 hours)
One of our most popular courses, it is great
for community needs. This course combines lectures, demonstrations and
video with hands-on training and practice. Participants in this course
learn to recognize and respond to emergencies including shock, cardiac
and breathing emergencies for adults, children and infants, heat and
cold emergencies, sudden illnesses and poisonings. Additionally,
participants will learn first aid for everything from cuts and scrapes
to muscle, bone and joint injuries.
Certificate title(s): CPR-Adult, Child, Infant and/or Standard First Aid.
Adult CPR (3.75 hours)
For the person who only needs Adult CPR
training, this hands-on skills training prepares them to respond to
breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims aged 8 and above. Adult
CPR/AED is available in a 4-1/2 hour course with AED training included.
Curriculum is available in English and Spanish.

California Child Care Preventative Health & Safety (8 hours)
This course meets the legal requirements of
the California Health and Safety Code (AB 243). The law stipulates that
licensed childcare providers receive at least 15 hours of training on
preventive childcare practices. This course teaches how to prevent
injuries to infants and children, provide pediatric first aid and
cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for children, infants and adults,
prevent infectious diseases, care for ill children and check for
required immunizations. California Child Care Course is divided in
three sections.
Prerequisites: You must have current American Red Cross Adult, Child and Infant CPR certification to register for Pediatric First Aid.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer w/ AED (Level C) (8 hours)
Designed for professional responders or
Health Care related fields. Subjects: Recognizing and caring for
breathing and cardiac emergencies; two-person CPR, use of personal
pocket mask and bag-valve mask (BVM.) Course fee includes a pocket
mask, text and material.
